I like Facebook better... GUILTY

I confess... I like updating Facebook so much more than my faithful and trusty blog.  More people see Facebook - so I get instant gratification with feedback and it's MUCH quicker to update and upload pictures, so I have neglected this site.  I'm very sorry for ignoring you TYPEPAD.  Now having said all that, here goes...

Everyone's latest accessory "MUST" is a redneck wine glass.  I just got a shipment delivered on Saturday, so we should be well stocked for a while.  Fill them with some tasty treats or tailgate snacks... add some ribbon and you've got a gift they will never forget.  We sold a pair last week to an October bride.  Gone are the days of silver goblets - now it's redneck wine glasses!

My husband calls this "pimpin' out your pumpkin".  I call it Martha Stewart inspired...

Puppy and Pals Party - May 13th, 2-8pm

During the month of May The Market will sponsor "Round Up for Red Cross".  Your donations will be recorded on your receipt.  At the end of the month we will report how much money we were able to donate to Red Cross.  You can also donate via your mobile phone.  Please pray about your donation and give generously.

Shopping Makes Me Happy Hour - today 6-8pm

Thanks to Divine Wine and Spirits, a rep from Arrington Vineyards is going to lead our wine tasting tonight.  There's no charge for the event tonight, but we are discussing the possibility of hosting a formal wine tasting class.  I'm eager to hear your feedback on this idea.

We'll have on-site monogram services tonight, so it's not too late to bump up the wow-factor for Easter outfits and gifts.  So many beautiful accessories to finish off your Easter look or to make an existing outfit pop. 

We'll have some sample Easter desserts that you can cash and carry tonight by our new friend Tonda.  I believe the oreo truffles will be the first to go.  Can't wait to see you tonight! xoxoxox

In an effort to be your "go to" gift shop, I'm always looking for ways to meet our customers needs.  I love, love, love hosting our independent merchants but I have to get creative when I see an unmet need.

The Market will close on Christmas Eve so our staff can rest, relax and enjoy time with their families.  We will reopen on our regular schedule Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm on 1/04/11.  We have loved sharing this special holiday season with you.  Merry Christmas to all...

Ho Ho Ho...Merry Christmas!

I'm having such a blast getting everyone in the holiday spirit.  Our open house Saturday exceeded my wildest expectations.  I know there was lots of competition for your time last weekend, so we're repeating all the same events on Saturday, December 4th.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will return for photos from 1-3pm.  I've asked our photographer, to get permission from the parents for me to post some photos. 

Don't forget our "After Hours Shopping Event" this Thursday from 6-8pm.  It is a casual come & go time for you to shop at your own pace.  Sarah's Place Salon is offering complimentary spa services and Divine Wine and Spirits is leading a wine tasting.  I always struggle with pairing wine with Turkey, so I hope they can inspire us for the Thanksgiving meal.  I'm thankful for all our spectacular customers and independent merchants.  Don't forget to "like" The Market on FaceBook.

Santa Claus is coming...to the Market

Actually, Santa & Mrs. Claus will be at the Market tomorrow 1-3pm for photographs. 

Nolensville author, Raylene King, will be at the Market signing her book, "31 Spiritual Lessons I Learned From My Dog".  Her dog, Cosmo, will join her for "paw-tographs'. 

Lance Allen (no relation) will entertain us with his acoustic guitar.  Lance teaches private music lessons and will have CD's for sale. 

One of Smyrna's favorite caterers, Joy Conklin, is bringing samples of her AH-MAZ-ING desserts.  Taste several and order one for your holiday gathering!

Vicki Bonner will show you her selection of handcrafted holiday cards.  She will be accepting orders for the holidays.

I can't wait for everyone to see how beautiful the Market looks decorated for Christmas.  If you weren't in the mood before, you will be when you leave.  We have a collection of over 25 Merchants with an awesome array of gifts and home decor.  The Market is the perfect place to find that "one of a kind" gift.

Too busy tomorrow???  We are repeating this event on December 4th.

Want something a little more low key?  Join us Thursday, 11/11/10 for an after hours shopping event.  Sarah's Place is offering spa services.  Divine Wine & Spirits will lead a wine tasting.  Lance Allen will play acoustic guitar.  All services are complimentary.  You will not find shopping like this in the big chain stores.  Bring your pals and join us 6-8pm this Thursday and again on 12/02!

Pumpkins and Mums are here!

Very large (and heavy) pumpkins are here.  Excellent for carving.  Terrific selection of mums.  Very reasonable prices.

Mums are $8.00 each or two for $15.00.  Better hurry, I was selling them before I got them set out good.  Happy fall y'all ;0)
