During the month of May The Market will sponsor "Round Up for Red Cross". Your donations will be recorded on your receipt. At the end of the month we will report how much money we were able to donate to Red Cross. You can also donate via your mobile phone. Please pray about your donation and give generously.
Thanks to Divine Wine and Spirits, a rep from Arrington Vineyards is going to lead our wine tasting tonight. There's no charge for the event tonight, but we are discussing the possibility of hosting a formal wine tasting class. I'm eager to hear your feedback on this idea.
We'll have on-site monogram services tonight, so it's not too late to bump up the wow-factor for Easter outfits and gifts. So many beautiful accessories to finish off your Easter look or to make an existing outfit pop.
We'll have some sample Easter desserts that you can cash and carry tonight by our new friend Tonda. I believe the oreo truffles will be the first to go. Can't wait to see you tonight! xoxoxox

In an effort to be your "go to" gift shop, I'm always looking for ways to meet our customers needs. I love, love, love hosting our independent merchants but I have to get creative when I see an unmet need.

I'm having such a blast getting everyone in the holiday spirit. Our open house Saturday exceeded my wildest expectations. I know there was lots of competition for your time last weekend, so we're repeating all the same events on Saturday, December 4th. Santa and Mrs. Claus will return for photos from 1-3pm. I've asked our photographer, to get permission from the parents for me to post some photos.
Don't forget our "After Hours Shopping Event" this Thursday from 6-8pm. It is a casual come & go time for you to shop at your own pace. Sarah's Place Salon is offering complimentary spa services and Divine Wine and Spirits is leading a wine tasting. I always struggle with pairing wine with Turkey, so I hope they can inspire us for the Thanksgiving meal. I'm thankful for all our spectacular customers and independent merchants. We'll be transitioning to a daily retail store sometime in August (my goal is the 14th). You'll be able to shop a variety of merchants all during the week. We're recruiting merchants for the new store now, so send them my way.

The tomatoes are coming!!! The tomatoes are coming!!! I am thrilled to be offering fresh produce in downtown Smyrna on Saturdays! The selection will continue to grow as the crops come in.
I am in the process of researching a new business model for The Market. I love what we do, but am exploring a change in how we do it. I would love to hear your feedback on how you think the Market experience would change if we were open daily. Instead of having the vendors attend each Saturday, they would rent a space and we would function as a retail shop selling their merchandise on a daily basis. You would lose the personal interaction with the person who handcrafted an item, but you would gain by being able to buy from them any day of the week. You would also have access to a larger selection of merchandise because more merchants could participate if they didn't have to be present to sell their wares.
